All-on-X Dental Implants in Markham — Teeth in a Day, Full Arch

What Is All-on-X?

All-on-X is a full-arch dental implant treatment that replaces an entire row of missing or failing teeth using a small number of strategically placed dental implants. Those implants act like new tooth roots and support a fixed bridge that stays securely in place. Unlike removable dentures, the new teeth do not move while you eat or speak, and there is no need for adhesive.

The name reflects how the treatment works. The original All-on-4 concept uses four implants, but not every patient has the same anatomy. At Markham Smile Centre, we often use the term All-on-X because some people need four implants, while others benefit from five or six. Rather than forcing every patient into the same formula, we plan each case around your anatomy, your bone, and your goals. For patients who have spent years dealing with loose dentures or broken teeth, a fixed full arch improves daily comfort and confidence.

How Full Arch Treatment Has Changed

Replacing a full arch once meant eight to ten implants, bone grafting, several surgeries, long healing times, and higher costs. It was excellent treatment, but very involved. The All-on-4 concept changed that. With four strategically placed implants, many patients could receive a fixed set of teeth on the same day, making treatment faster, more predictable, and more affordable. This is the approach many people know as teeth in a day.

All-on-X maintains that efficiency while removing the assumption that four implants are always the right number. The X stands for however many implants your jaw calls for, whether four, five, or six, based on your bone and bite rather than a fixed formula. Our fully digital planning is what makes this level of customization possible.

The Benefits of a Fixed Full Arch

A fixed full arch does more than fill gaps. Because the teeth are secured to implants rather than resting on the gums, they stay firmly in place while you eat and speak, with no adhesive and no movement. For many patients, that means eating the foods they had given up, and talking and laughing without thinking about their teeth.

Secure, fixed teeth

Stay in place without adhesive or movement, so you can eat the foods you love.

A balanced bite

Chew and speak comfortably with a bite that feels natural.

A natural-looking smile

Talk and laugh with confidence, with teeth that look natural in photos.

Healthy gums, comfortable fit

A fixed, comfortable result with teeth that feel like your own.

Who Is a Candidate for All-on-X?

Woman receiving a dental check-up to assess her candidacy for All-on-X dental implants

All-on-X suits patients who are missing several teeth, have teeth that are breaking down, or have been told that several teeth cannot be saved. It is also a strong option for people who wear removable dentures and are frustrated by denture movement while eating or speaking.

You may be a candidate if you recognize any of the following:

  • Avoid smiling or hide your teeth in photos
  • Have loose or uncomfortable dentures
  • Avoid certain foods because of your teeth
  • Have teeth that are breaking down or failing
  • Have been told you have bone loss

Bone loss does not automatically rule you out. Because the implants can be positioned to make use of your existing bone, All-on-X can often be planned in a way that works with your anatomy. The most reliable way to know whether the treatment suits your situation is a consultation where we review your health and dental history and take a 3D scan. When teeth are failing but not yet lost, other options such as dental crowns or a dental bridge may help you keep your natural teeth longer before a full arch becomes the better choice.

Our Fully Digital Workflow

Investing in digital dental technology lets us plan your smile before treatment ever begins. That means more precision, shorter appointments, better communication, and often better overall value.

CBCT 3D Imaging

A three-dimensional X-ray captures the details of your bone so that implants can be planned accurately and predictably.

iTero Intraoral Scanning

A precise 3D scan captures everything in your mouth without traditional impressions, for a faster and more comfortable experience.

Digital Smile Design

We design your new smile digitally before surgery, so you can refine the details and the plan is clear from the start.

In-House 3D Printing

We fabricate provisional prosthetics in our office, which improves fit, reduces wait times, and keeps your treatment moving.

Together, these technologies mean less time in the chair, more precision, and better long-term value for every patient.

Three Treatment Options

Every patient has different goals and a different budget. Some people want a beautiful, functional smile, while others seek the highest level of aesthetics and long-term durability. That is why we offer three levels of treatment. Every patient receives the same careful planning and surgical expertise. The differences are primarily in the restorative materials, not the quality of care.

Essential

From $19,995 per arch, or around $400 per month on approved credit. Ideal for straightforward cases. Includes digital planning, a comprehensive exam, CBCT imaging, an in-house printed provisional, and a PMMA hybrid restoration.

Core (Most Popular)

From $24,995 per arch, or around $465 per month on approved credit. Everything in Essential plus a titanium-reinforced restoration for greater durability, a same-day provisional, a digital try-in, and outstanding long-term value.

Premium

From $29,995 per arch, or around $594 per month on approved credit. A full zirconia restoration for the highest aesthetics and the most durable material, and a premium ceramic finish designed for maximum longevity.

Your Treatment Journey

All-on-X is a planned process, and knowing the steps in advance makes it easier to move forward with confidence. A typical journey looks like this:

  • 3D scan and CBCT. We capture the details of your mouth and bone digitally.
  • Digital planning. We design your smile and plan implant positions before surgery.
  • Surgery. Failing teeth are removed, and implants are placed, typically four to six per arch.
  • Same-day teeth. In most cases, a fixed provisional is inserted the same day as implant placement.
  • Healing. Your implants integrate with the bone over the healing period.
  • Final smile. Your final restoration is completed once healing is confirmed.

Comfort and Sedation

Comfort during treatment is a common concern, and it is one we plan for directly. We offer IV sedation for full-arch treatment, along with additional sedation dentistry options, so your care matches your needs and your level of anxiety. Our experienced surgical team and treatment coordinators guide you through each stage, so you are not facing the process alone.

Dental financing and cost planning for All-on-X dental implants in Markham

Cost and Financing in Markham

All-on-X treatment at Markham Smile Centre starts at $19,995 per arch, with monthly payments of around $400 on approved credit. The right option depends on the restorative material you choose and your individual treatment plan, which we confirm during your consultation.

For patients using public coverage, our clinic follows the ODA (Ontario Dental Association) fee guide. If you are a CDCP patient and the ODA rate for your treatment is higher than the amount CDCP covers, you are responsible for the CDCP co-payment plus the difference between the CDCP rate and the ODA fee. Our team will confirm your eligibility and walk you through your estimated cost before your appointment.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the surgery hurt?

Treatment is planned for comfort. We offer IV sedation and additional sedation options for full-arch treatment, and most patients report far less discomfort than they expected.

Am I too old for implants?

Age by itself almost never rules anyone out. Suitability depends on your overall health and your bone, both of which we assess at your consultation.

What if I have bone loss?

Bone loss does not automatically disqualify you. Because implants can be angled to use your existing bone, All-on-X can often be planned to work with your anatomy.

How long does treatment take?

In most cases, a fixed provisional is placed the same day as surgery. Your implants then integrate over a healing period before the final restoration is completed.

Can I finance treatment?

Yes. Monthly payments start at around $400 per month on approved credit, and our team will review the options with you.

What if I already wear dentures?

Denture wearers are often strong candidates for All-on-X, since a fixed full-arch restoration eliminates the movement and adhesive issues that make dentures frustrating.
